Re: PC version question....
The only DRM I'm aware of is it wanting the disc in the drive which is easily gotten around. It doesn't even have a key. This is from the old days of PC gaming when you could install them on multiple PCs with little hassle.

Re: Kojima: "Silent Hill S could be open world"
A large open SH game sounds nice. Linear gameplay is annoying. It shouldn't be too different from any other SH game other than being able to walk all over the game world. I remember how stuck I got on the first SH walking all over town. That would really suck in a GTA size SH. Bring it on! lol

Re: New Silent Hill? Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro pro
The graphics are so realistic. This should be an amazing game with Kojima behind it. He's a rare breed these days that puts his blood, sweat and tears into his work. It's a shame I'll probably never get to play this. It'll probably be another console only game.

Re: Sickness on the Player's Part
My first experience with SH1 was a little like that. I was pretty desensitized by the time the other games came out. None of them made me yell tho. It put me on the edge of my seat with the hairs raised on the back of my neck. I thought the environment was gross and like I needed a tetanus shot from...

This makes me wish for a SH1 HD remake again. You did a pretty good job.

Re: How much bugs are there on the SH3 PC port?
The only issue I've seen with SH3 PC is a screen tearing in the middle of the screen that won't go away. It runs better than SH2. Make sure it's running in admin mode to avoid any save problems.

Re: Silent Hill 2 slow loading
Your specs seem fine. This game only goes up to 1280x1024 for me. Maybe this old game just doesn't like 1080. lol idk Try turning off as many background programs running in Windows before gaming & run the game in Windows XP SP2 compatibility & run as administrator. It's hard to give an answe...

Re: The future of Silent Hill films?
They seem to be trying to copy the Resident Evil approach with the films & prob new games won't be much better. It was a bad thing when this franchise got too mainstream. I hope they never make another movie.

Re: Rough Graphics?
You're playing it emulated. It's best to get the original system. Expect glitches on emulation.
fyi..
If you want SH1 to look it's best then play it with ePSXe on your computer with all the graphic options turned up on the emulator. It looks much better than PS1 or PS3 running it.

You need to run the game on 1 core on your processor. Open the game & wait until it gets to the menu screen. Hold ctrl + alt + del buttons to minimize game & bring up task manager. You might need to click "show processes from all users", right click sh2pc.exe & click "set ...

Re: Silent Hill 3 *.dll problem
The only thing I can think of is an anti-virus/spyware program could be removing a file without your permission. I've had this happen on many occasions. My anti-virus hates Wolfenstein & Left 4 Dead. I had to disable the resident shield feature to make it stop. Try disabling those programs &...

^ lol
yeah
Homecoming was so buggy I had to use a trainer to get thru it. My health kept getting drained by invisible bugs that couldn't be killed. wtf? That's a pretty buggy game. It sucks Downpour hasn't made it to PC. I may never play this game.

Why can't you leave that room? What happens when you try? I've never read about anybody having this problem before. lol only things to do are... 1. make sure your system can handle the game...most new comps can handle it even with the worst system specs 2. run as admin & windows xp sp2 compatibi...

Re: Did innovations in combat mechanics enhance your experie
I'd have to say yes. I hated the combat in this game. I dreaded facing enemies and they kept coming. That did add to the fear of playing this game. It also made me not want to play very often. It was more frustrating than fun at times. I wish it was more simple like SH2.

Re: Diagonal line through the screen? (HD Collection)
SH3 is known to have a vertical refresh issue that causes tears in the screen. I'm amazed the problem still exists in the HD port. Then again I'm not really after reading all the glitchy issues people are reporting. I'm guessing this issue has to do with the game engine so can't really be fixed with...
