Re: Downpour Easter Eggs (spoilers within)

There's a truck on Ketchum Street in Port District that has the same brand name on the side as Travis's truck in Origins.

Re: There's no such thing as stupid questions ... Downpour F

Does anyone know what the WLMN in WLMN FM stands for? This is something that's been bothering me for a while now. Does anybody have an answer to this? I've played Downpour once and am on the second playthough, but haven't found a note or memo explaining this. Also, I heard that Sanchez's prisoner n...

Re: Question About One Of The Endings

He says throughout the game that he doesn't kill people who don't deserve it, and he doesn't have James-esque amnesia. Eddie in Silent Hill 2 said that the guy he shot deserved it, even though he probably didn't. Murphy's put up enough with his guilt that he's obviously not going to just go and kil...

Re: Alchemilla Hospital - The Map

I was just saying that the note doesn't explain the first floor. I'm not saying it couldn't be explained and I actually think it's a relative non-issue compared to the introduction of Canyon Street.

Re: There's no such thing as stupid questions ... Downpour F

I'd like Tom to explain why it is wrong. Whether Murphy could go through with killing Napier or not doesn't affect any other aspect of that ending. If I understand how the ending is achieved, then it's "wrong" because Ending B requires you to kill lots of monsters. I got Ending B the firs...

Yes, but Droo and DMChristensen were talking about the first floor of Alchemilla and I assume that your post was in response to their discussion.

Tangent? really? The information you provided proposed a problem. I attempted to reconcile it. The information didn't propose a problem, you did. I'm not attacking you for being wrong, or for provoking further discussion, or whatever else if that's what you think. I am rather surprised that you exp...

I didn't know that you were gonna go off on a tangent about how the Holloways didn't have an heir and didn't have a sacrifice for 1903.

Re: Squick.

It was probably a bailout marriage and pregnancy. John probably became ill and had to create an heir, stat, so he was married off to Sophie, banged her, and died. Otherwise the whole ritual would've been boned. Not if Frederick had a child. There's a bigger problem, though. The ritual occurs every ...

Re: Sheperd family sacrifice (I don't understand)

I'm of the opinion that the person who continues the family line isn't important and that they can be replaced if need be. Josh could have been replaced if Adam had gone through with things, either through IVF with Lillian or with a younger more fertile woman (I also don't think spouses are all tha...

Re: Sheperd family sacrifice (I don't understand)

There's some things I don't understand about Homecoming's plot, and I'm hoping somebody will clear things up for me. I'll try. Why does Josh dying doom Sheperd's Glen? Josh's death didn't doom Shepherd's Glen, but the events that were consequential of it did. Couldn't Adam sacrifice Alex anyway if ...

Re: 'Ribbons' sidequest

I think you're overthinking things. That door texture is used for numerous other doors in Silent Hill and I think that the distinct colour is actually for the player's benefit more than anything else. EDIT: But it was a nice thought, I hadn't noticed the connection until you just mentioned it - even...

Re: Weapon Realization

Did anyone else notice that you can use firearms as melee weapons and that they're also breakable? I just beat a Prisoner Minion to death with my shotgun and it broke into pieces. I was surprised that I could pick those pieces up and then continue use them.
