I wouldn't say he's a frequent visitor. He was there once in the past with Mary, maybe twice. Some people just have a bad sense of direction, I guess.
I think the map is more a tool for the player than the character, but I don't want to get into a meta-fiction discussion.

When did James use a map? I'm aware the player could conceivably pull out the map in Heaven's Night to navigate through the one room necessary to exit out the front door, but that doesn't really have any bearing on whether James himself actually did. If you mean the town itself...well, it's been a w...

I admittedly don't understand much of the frustration with the perceived circular nature of the In Water ending. James came to Silent Hill with a goal in mind, had a nervous breakdown, and was faced with Hamlet's choice: to be or not to be? Since his journey through Silent Hill seemed to be an inner...

Mind you, he only puts on the delusion so the journey could happen. If the same result happens as if he never took on the delusion, then nothing meaningful has been accomplished. It's just James sitting there, stroking the metaphorical pyramid-tipped cock of his meta-ego in a psychic circlejerk, go...

1) I don't think the guy in the chair was ever a symbol of suicide. He screams, which is a bizarre thing to do if you're killing yourself. Plus, the blood is on the screen, which means he was shot from behind. 2) Silent Hill 2 hints at the existence of an afterlife for James and Mary, so it isn't ne...

I'm calling bullshit on the Toys R' Us sexcapade. I'm not buying that any department store would be attended by less than 2-3 people at any given time, and you usually need about five janitors to clean up something of that size every night. Also, Toys R' Us has security cameras everywhere except the...

The only problem with your assertion? Jesus was actually a Velociraptor.
Geez, get your facts straight.

angela is acusing james of being sexualy desiring towards her. Not planning on raping her. And we know thomas was a drunk, and an asshole. So to Thomas, raping angela was his sexual desire, as morbid as that sounds. Otherwise he wouldnt of did what he did. Look, if you don't even know what causes r...

So the only way to accept that Angela was sexually abused (other than accepting that Angela was sexually abused of course) is to assume that she's a crazy person and imagined the whole thing? Why not just take the extra step and say she imagined her dad beating her too? Maybe she didn't want to take...

Well, you'd have to ask Jeremy about any specific script problems you see, because I can't read his mind. But based on my experience, I often do have to deviate quite substantially from what's literally written in Japanese in order to make it work. All that mattered to me was Jeremy saying that the ...

There could be dozens of reasons why the Japanese script differs from the English one. I don't think any of those reasons implies that some element of the story was changed. Perhaps it's simply because the Japanese language is indirect by its very nature. This is a common problem when translating fr...
