Re: Ending of the PT - Future prediction of Kojima?

Well, if you want to read the games like that, you can. You've obviously gathered enough evidence, but I have my doubts, still. Occam's Razor and all that. You could say that he was subconsciously adding those elements to the stories he wrote, since he was experiencing things like it. Sure. Maybe. B...

Re: So which ending is canon?

An alternate way to look at the horseshoe puzzle in Silent Hill 2 : the answer to the puzzle reflects how damaged James' psyche is, and could possibly foreshadow the completely illogical actions he must continue making throughout the level (y'know, jumping into giant pits and what-not). Anyway, Till...

Re: heres something, (spoilers)

Not to mention having Cheryl be adopted completely ruins the themes of the game.

Re: Eddie Dombrowski R.I.P

I felt bad for him, nothing excuses his actions. It's too bad he couldn't redeem himself, but frankly, it doesn't seem like he'd be much of anything even if he had survived.

Well, she's dead. We won't be seeing her again.

Unless someone in the new SH team is really, really dumb.

So the flauros demon is simply a manifestation or is it a actual demon

I have a feeling that's up to you to decide. The cult's God sure is.

Re: Cybil: The Black Queen's Pawn (SPOILERS + Long Theory)

So it could be either way - either the God existed first and makes the town all weird, or the God exists now because the town is all weird. The former is more likely, though, given the fact that the Indians didn't encounter a deity, only "spoke with the dead."

Didn't PH wield a combat knife in this one? Doesn't that count as customizing?

Re: Travis what exactally happened to him after Origins?

Just look at Heather. Or Travis for that matter. All there when children but came back older. Heather was born in the town, and was drawn there due to the cult, not because of some spiritual thing. Travis was raised there and faced some pretty traumatic events. It's not a surprise either of them re...

Re: pyramid head or boogeyman? should he have been there?

I believe that as well, that they are manifestations of the murdered children. That's obvious. I believe it is the Bogeyman though that takes the form of the bosses to exact that revenge. In all, given the purpose of the bogeyman, it does make sense. ...That theory makes the entire game that much m...

Re: Should I buy it?

If I were you I'd track down Shattered Memories or SH1 instead of Homecoming.

Homecoming will probably be the cheapest, but eh, it's also the worst in the series. (But still a good game.)

Re: Silent Hill on an ancient TV.

The game is creepy enough on it's own, but if you look too closely on an HD TV then you can see each individual pixel. Just don't sit too close to the TV.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but my problem with Homecoming's boo scares was the fact that they didn't really work for me.

That and I remember there being a lot.

^ Don't let the Adversary hear that. (But seriously, I agree. I can understand WHY people glorify both series, though: They've been releasing solid games for a very long time. Not necessarily great every time, but I can't name a "traditional" Mario game that really, really sucked in past m...
