Re: What's the deal with the supply items?
Playing through the game for a second time made a huge difference for me. On the second play through, I accumulated as many as eight or more health drinks, but that is probably due to having the Moon Gauntlets to assist me with that. This is also probably the only game in the Silent Hill series whe...

Re: The Sanitarium
I believe that the Sanitarium does have its merits. I thought that it was a nice change from places such as Brookhaven Hospital that were a little too modern, despite their derelict state. I am aware that Brookhaven was established a long time ago, but that is not really reflected by what the playe...

Re: What's the deal with the supply items?
I just completed this game. In Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 , I always end up with a surplus of health drinks. In Silent Hill: Origins on the other hand, everytime I would collect one, I would need to use it to keep my health out of the red. I did not realise that the game itself was frustrating...

...but i assume they did it to make the game more of a challenge. That I can understand, although I would have attributed it to them not wanting to take the time to develop the intricate system which I proposed. ...and a bit more realstic. That statement does not really make sense given that it mak...

Re: Things that annoy you the most?
The inventory bothered me. I can see why they did it that way, but it would have been better if things like health drinks and bullets merged into one slot instead of individual ones. I took issue with that also. It would not have bothered me so much if they took up an amount of space proportionate ...

Re: Most useful weapons in Silent Hill 4
It is unfortunate that I still cannot play this game, even though I have finished it before, as my copy of this game no longer works. It is the only installment of the series that I have already played that I am desperate to play again. By memory, I remember the chainsaw being quite useful, not to ...

Re: Origins is the best Silent Hill game ever made
$15.49 new? That is a bargain. Unless that is in US dollars. Even in US dollars it's pretty damn good. I had guessed as much but I was being cautious. I did not want an American chewing me out for saying that $15.49 is cheap by any standard if in their terms it was $50.00 or upward. But given that ...

Re: Origins is the best Silent Hill game ever made
You should give it a try, if nothing else, just rent the game and play it through once. It is not the BEST GAME EVAR but it has some parts that are really cool. Running around Cedar Grove was probably the best part of the entire game. The place is massive and w/ the mirror mechanic, it is twice as ...

Re: Origins is the best Silent Hill game ever made
I still have not had the opportunity to play this installment of the series. The original poster does seem a little over-excited about it, but perhaps I too will share his/her excitement once I have played it. That is doubtful however.

Re: Did you still like James at the end?
I still like James at the end, yes. He seemed to express genuine remorse for the act of killing his wife which, once he found this out, was a real surprise to him. As unfortunate as her death may have been, it was for the best.

Re: Favorite world?
I voted for the Building World. The Apartment World comes a close second. I like how the Building World looked. It had a post-apocalyptic feel about it, not to mention how desolate it was. The fact that it was an empty place that should be filled with people and business is what made it so eerie. H+

Jasper scares me quite a bit to be honest because I am terrified of fire, and that horrible gasping gurgling noise he makes freaks the hell out of me! I have not played this game for a very long time, but by memory, this is exactly how I felt. I remember finding this part the most fearsome. Especia...
