...fine. You win. I give up. (yawn) Somepeople take everything at face value, others don't. For the millionth time and a half, I bow out, simply because I know that I'll never get anywhere where the door has been shut. People will always think what they choose to think, if only so they can say they ...

why should we go with the "construct" theory if the game deliberately leads us on to believe the "literal spirit" theory with no counter-evidence? Why would we get counter-evidence? From the first opening sequence, we're locked into Walter's world. Henry never comes out, unlike ...

It just seems much more logical that, since he can draw in and corrupt personalities such as Eileen, TOTALLY corrupting them should be a simple thing to do once he kills them. ... it seems to deter from the meaning of the Sacraments, to me. But here's something to think about. If the ghosts ARE jus...

^^() Speak straight lines, Kerry... straight lines... The definition was to illustrate how very unclear the definitions for the two words are. The range of uses overlaps and is so wide that it's very very very hard to determine what they mean at all. As for the last part, we're going back to my firs...

I'm stating a personal belief when I say soul /=/ spirit. Hence, I'm basing my theory off of my personal belief--just like you're basing your theory that Walter can't control souls off of your own. >How is this apparent? If he stole someone's soul, which we still have not determined what that is, t...

I see what you're talking about now. But it doesn't specify either. Many people do exactly as you just did... using one word for another. What's important here is the use of them verses their definitions in a given context, as, in general, their definitions are debatable. I've not seen in this entir...

Where was the "apparent"ness in the game? I can show you many people who still believe it is a "soul" that Walter controls. You yourself said just a moment ago that it was the soul that was being used. Correction, not only one, but many. It is told in the first memos? That it's a...

^_^- So much upset over such a small thing... is it a sign of insecurity or simply the christian ferver reborn? As convincing as that reality (reality here being perception) really is, if you think about it, that still does not totally disprove my theory either. Should all this be "the memory o...

So because we can't do it in real life, a fictional, superpowered villain can't? And they've become inhuman monsters because they've fallen under his control, such as Cybil and the parasite in SH1. Should we argue that the Cybil we fought was just Alessa's memories of her? How many times have we gon...

Quote: Yes, but if you would go by the theory that everything in the otherworld is made possible by Walter's absolute belief, then you could say that they were all Walter's creations, or at least the creations of Walter's faith and mind. Not necessarily deliberate creations, if that makes any sense...

Another one... The windows clattering; The only windows affected where the ones in the living room... That one was eerie to me right off the bat. I only tried to open them once in the whole game... after that I was looking out... but if you remember the head floating around... it kinda feels more li...

Re: The meanings of the hauntings (SPOILERS)

Happy Haunting and Salutations everyone. ^_^- I was looking at your stuff and wondered if I might drop in on a fairly interesting conversation. Here's a list of some of the hauntings and their meanings (In my opinion). 1: The Head of the bald guy floating upside-down outside the window: This is eith...

Laura has never been to Silent Hill, or at least we are never told that she has been to Silent Hill. We would assume that she would be ignorant of her surroundings, but surprisingly, she manages just fine. Her knowledge of her surrounding may seem uncanny, and this is one of the reasons why people ...

Good point, but the event with the doll happened when he was an adult, so it's not really something Little Wally would have. And yet little Wally tried to protect Eileen... So, essentially... they aren't really two different "personas"... they both have that innocent streak... but Walter ...

That's what I was thinking too.

The entire feel of Walter's character doesn't seem totally and completely vengefull like you say, Adversary.

It's like, he just wants to be at peace with his mother finally.

I don't care for the "Last Mariachi" or whatever it's called, but it does have some good tracks. "Room of Angel" and "Cradel of Forest" being two. I personally like Cynthia's theme as well, not because of any fondess for Cynthia, but because I just like the music.

She was the only person who wasn't overly cruel to him.
But neither was Toby, from what Adversary said.

Then I suppose that the board officially supports that Walter's goal wasn't to bring Mother back.

(BTW: as for Mother coming back being suicide, didn't he already COMMIT suicide?)

"SH4 could have been better if they added the Pyramid Head" No. Pyramid Head would've totally lost his value, then. I think that the reason SH4 was so ill accepted was the strange new ground and completely different approach to the game. It was nothing at all like SH2 or 3. You don't play ...
